Second Draft of Music Video
I am really pleased with my second draft as I feel I get the narrative across far better than in my first draft. Although it is only short, I feel it is enough time to tell the narrative without developing it too much. I have also used more techniques such as tilting and hand held camera work rather than all the shots been still. I feel this has made it easier to watch and take in what's happening because in the first draft it felt each shot was just jumping from one location to the next without blending well with the style of music. I have also changed the colour correction as I felt the original sepia effect I had tried to make made the video looked washed out. I found a Seventies effect which I think gives just the right colour correction to the video, without it been too washed out or dark. The video is shorter than I would have liked it to be, however, because I struggled to really develop the narrative without giving too much away. Therefore there is one section of the song that I cut away (the second chorus) in order for me to get a complete draft done without losing time having to go back out and film more. Overall I am pleased with it and will be conducting another questionnaire for feedback.
